Experience Havana’s #1 nightclub of the 50s, The Tropicana. Tonight’s multi-media show, led by Dr. Mike Davison, will feature the UR Jazz Ensemble and guest pianist, composer, and multi-Grammy award winner Arturo O’Farrill. The concert will feature the world premiere of a composition written by Arturo for the show.

This concert is offered as part of the Department of Music Free Concert Series 2023-2024 Season. The Department of Music produces over 25 concerts annually featuring a broad range of styles and genres. Enjoy student recitals, faculty ensemble performances, and concerts created in collaboration with visiting artists. 

All concerts are FREE and seating is general admission. Registration is required, and all will be welcomed as space allows.

Registrations are closed at this time. All Department of Music events are Registration Only, meaning no tickets will be issued or required for entry.

If you are not able to register in advance we invite you to show up early to the performance, and all will be welcome as space allows.
